Natasha Miller - President

Poignant Records was created by Natasha Miller in 2001 to propel her own recording career. It has since blossomed to include the great Singer-Songwriter Bobby Sharp (Unchain My Heart) as well as Jeremy Miller, a versatile guitarist and songwriter.

About Natasha Miller
Natasha Miller is a music business professional in the San Francisco bay area. She owns a production company called Entire Productions, which produces concert series, books talent, handles publicity, and serves as a marketing and production consulting service. She also runs an independent record label called Poignant Records with 5 releases available, and two more in the pipe line for release before the end of 2007. Natasha’s music publishing company is called ScootchMusic, which is affiliated with ASCAP.

Ms. Miller is currently the marketing director for the acclaimed Jazzschool in Berkeley, CA where she also teaches marketing and music production workshops. She is the marketing director for the 3rd Annual Downtown Berkeley Jazz Festival.

Ms. Miller has produced CD projects at Fantasy Records in Berkeley, as well as at Skywalker Studios. She is a classically trained violinist and holds the first violin position in her string ensemble The Sapphire String Quartet. Natasha is also a songwriter, vocalist, and plays the acoustic guitar and piano.

As a vocalist, Ms. Miller has had the honor of performing at many fine venues such as the Monterey Jazz Festival, Yoshi’s in Oakland, The Plush Room in San Francisco, Blues Alley in D.C., and the Jazz Standard in NYC.

In Ms. Miller’s hometown Alameda, CA a music fund is named The Flicka (Frederica von Stade) and Natasha Fund, which helps to support music in the public school system. Natasha also volunteers for, and/or donates her time and financial resources to Bread and Roses, Alameda Education Foundation, Little Kids Rock, Relay for Life, The Alameda Hospital, Sophia Project, the Midway Women’s Shelter for abused women and children, Music In Schools Today (MUST), and the Red Cross (Hurricane Katrina).

Natasha has been the recipient of the Business & Professional Women "Women of Achievement in the Arts" award as well as the “Entrepreneur of the Year” award designated by the Alameda Chamber of Commerce
