Poignant Records began in 2000 with the release of Natasha Miller’s first CD, “Her Life”. The catalog boasts 8 recordings of Natasha’s music recorded at various Bay Area recording studios including Skywalker Sound, 25th Street Studio, MegaSonic Studio, as well as producing a work of the great songwriter Bobby Sharp (Unchain My Heart) recorded at Fantasy Records in Berkeley, CA. 

ABOUT NATASHA Natasha Miller is a music business professional in the San Francisco bay area. She is the owner of Entire Productions, an entertainment production company which programs and books entertainment for social and corporate events all over the world. 

She runs this independent record label Poignant Records with 8 releases to date, mostly in the jazz genre. Natasha’s music publishing company is called ScootchMusic, which is affiliated with ASCAP. She also owns a catalog of music by the songwriter Bobby Sharp including the song, Don't Set Me Free recorded by Ray Charles as a follow-up to Bobby's original song Unchain My Heart. All are under the publishing company B Sharp Music, LLC/ASCAP.

Ms. Miller was the marketing director for the acclaimed Jazzschool in Berkeley, CA in 2007 where she also taught marketing and music production workshops. She was the marketing director for the 3rd Annual Downtown Berkeley Jazz Festival.

Ms. Miller has produced CD projects at Fantasy Records in Berkeley, as well as at Skywalker Studios. She is a classically trained violinist and held the first violin position in her string ensemble The Sapphire String Quartet. Natasha is also a songwriter, vocalist, and plays the acoustic guitar and piano. 

As a vocalist, she has had the honor of headlining at venues such as the Monterey Jazz Festival, Yoshi’s in Oakland, The Plush Room in San Francisco, Blues Alley in D.C., and the Jazz Standard in NYC.

In Ms. Miller’s hometown Alameda, CA a music fund is named The Flicka (Frederica von Stade) and Natasha Fund, which helps to support music in the public school system. 

Natasha also volunteers for, and/or donates her time and financial resources to Bread and Roses, Alameda Education Foundation, Little Kids Rock, Relay for Life, The Alameda Hospital, Sophia Project, the Midway Women’s Shelter for abused women and children, Music In Schools Today (MUST), and the Red Cross (Hurricane Katrina).
